Hetalia: Republic of Ireland Concept Drawing

Well, the Hetalia universe does need an Irish character...so I designed one for fun! Tell me if there are any inaccuracies, and I will happily fix them!  

Country: Republic of Ireland.
Human name: Erin Dunne (Ni Dhuinn in Gaelic Irish).
Age: 28(?) Ireland is a very old country, being one of the oldest country's in Europe, after all...I can always change the age if it's inaccurate!

Allies: Ireland is friends with just about every country, but she shares her closest ties with the UK, France, Spain, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Other countries she has ties with are Austria (she helped him in the Austrian Succession and her soldiers were highly sought-after and praised by Austrian Royalty), Germany (he was one of the few countries who tried to help her escape British Rule, despite the plan failing horribly. They both share a taste for potatoes and beer, and Ireland admires his level-headed nature), India (Ireland donated millions in bilateral aid to him, and they both fought Britain for their independence) and, surprisingly, Russia (the Soviet Union was the first nation to recognize Ireland's independence, among other past associations, and Ireland is on relatively good terms with him. There are also a decent amount of Russians living in Ireland). Lately, she has been becoming more friendly with China and Japan too. Characters that haven't been personified yet that have ties with Ireland include Mexico and Argentina, among others. Ireland is also home to many people from Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, and she is particularly friendly with these three nations too.

Enemies: Ireland doesn't have any sworn enemies, but she hasn't been on great terms with Israel (due to Israeli terrorists hijacking one of her planes and Israeli assassins stealing her people's passports to assist them in their missions) and the Vatican City (the Vatican City was furious when Ireland shut down the Vatican Embassy in her country and Ireland's religious decline annoyed him, while Ireland is angry at the Vatican City for his lack of concern when the Catholic Church constantly abused it's power when Ireland was recovering from her War of Independence. He also tried to cover up the numerous scandals that the Catholic Church partook in throughout Irish history, which greatly angered Ireland. However, Ireland is re-opening her Embassy, which might improve things between the two.)(Ok, neither of these countries are personified in Hetalia at the moment, but meh.)

Previous Roles: Farmer (Late Stone-Age Era), Celtic warrior (Celtic Era), Travelling Monk and Artist (Ireland's early Christian era), Irish Warrior (when Britain began conquering Ireland), Pirate (from when Britain conquered her until Catholic Emancipation began in Ireland),

Jacobin (from 1500's-1700's)(these guys were basically soldiers who fled Ireland in what is known as "Flight of the Wild Geese", to serve under European countries such as France, Spain, Austria, Italy, Poland and Sweden. They were known for being brave, tough soldiers who were highly skilled in combat. She also traveled to America for his War of Independence, as over 1/4 of his soldiers were Irish. However, she fought against America when he invaded Canada and Mexico, as she was against this, due to the fact that she had been invaded herself by Britain. Besides, America had began to racially abuse her and her people at this point, something that Ireland had become weary of),

Farmer (again)(until the Great Famine hit), Foreign Worker in America (from 1845 (the worst year of the Famine) until the late 1800's),

World War 1 soldier (she did this to thank Britain for promising her independence. However, she deserted and fled home when she heard about the Easter Rising and Britain's response (he shelled the GPO, one of her most precious buildings, caught hundreds of civilians in the cross-fire, shot all of the rebel leaders, as well as some of the soldiers, while sending the rest of the rebels, as well as hundreds of civilians who had nothing to do with the uprising, in Frongach Prison in Wales, a prison which completely isolated all of it's prisoners. Suffice to say, Ireland was not pleased), Rebel Leader and Assassin (Irish War of Independence), Soldier (Irish Civil War. She fought on the Pro-Treaty side.), Politician (end of the Civil War-current day).

Personality: Ireland is usually kind, friendly and down-to-earth, and is always willing to chat. She is extremely generous, which shows in her countries donations to various charities, and will always try to assist her fellow nations if trouble strikes them. She loves children and animals, and is extremely fond of young nations such as Sealand and Wy. However, she doesn't take any nonsense from anybody, no matter how big a nation they may be (she is completely unfazed by nations such as Russia and Belarus), she loathes being controlled and told what to do (which is why Britain had so much trouble controlling her) and she has a vicious temper (watch out for her hurley when she's angry-it rivals Russia's Magic Metal Pipe of Pain in terms of "Ouch!" factor...just ask Britain...). In combat, she is a fierce, brave and unforgiving opponent who was even known to continue fighting with only her bayonet when she ran out of ammo. She expects the same from her allies, and can't stand cowardice; after all, her regiments were known to induce friendly fire on reluctant Mexican troops in the American-Mexican War, as if to say "Alright, chumps, you've got two choices-you go out there and fight America with me, or I'll hunt down your sorry asses and put you out of your misery when this is all over!"

Hobbies: Art (Ireland has beautiful Celtic art pieces), writing stories and poetry (her country isn't known as "The Nation of Scholars" for nothing!), singing (Ireland has won the Eurovision Song Contest more than any nation. The Irish would also sing loudly to keep their spirits up whenever they marched during wars. Subtlety and stealth was never Ireland's forte...), horse-riding (Ireland is world-renowned for having top-quality horses and jockeys), boxing (Ireland's best Olympic sport. Also a superb anger outlet for her), sports (particularly her native sports; gaelic football and hurling), Playing the harp (her country's national symbol) and she enjoys the odd drinking session with Germany, Prussia or Russia.

Pet(s): Two Irish Wolfhounds named Bran and Sceolan (after the two legendary dogs of Irish legend), a sheep named Clumhach (Gaelic Irish for "Fluffy")(the sheep is Ireland's national treasure) and a Connemara pony named Gaoithe (Gaelic Irish for "Wind").

Appearance: Red hair (Ireland has the second-largest population of redheads after Scotland), curl in the shape of a shamrock (Ireland's national flower. Inspiration for that feature taken from other OCs of Ireland, so credit goes to them), heterochromia iridum (condition which causes a person's eyes to be two different colours. Ireland'd blue eye represents Ancient Ireland (blue was Ireland's original national colour; it was the colour of St Patrick), while her green eye represents Modern Ireland (when the blue of the native Irish was combined with the orange of the English and Scottish settlers in Ireland, it created green-which became Ireland's second national colour). The uniform she's wearing is a commander's uniform from the modern Irish Army. Her pale skin derives from her often cold and wet climate.
